Elizabeth Banks was in New York to attend a special screeing of her movie, People Like Us. The screening was hosted by The Cinema Society with Linda Wells and Allure magazine.
Elizabeth wore a beautiful Elie Saab dress. I love the gold embellished garment with its halter style neckline and open back. Her look was styled perfectly with a pair of Pierre Hardy shoes with gold straps and another beautiful Edie Parker clutch.
While the dress was beautiful as were the accessories, I didn't like this on Elizabeth at all. I didn't find it the neckline to be flattering, and the bodice appears to be too big as well.
I also wished that all of her hair was pulled back in the updo.
C. This dress wasn't very figure flattering at all.
I love Rachel Ray. She has managed make an food empire without ever having gone to culinary school. She is an inspiration to me as I want to make a career in fashion. Yet, I haven't gone to fashion school. Hard work is its own reward.
Rachel wore a really pretty little black dress. The Marc Bouwer look had a plunging neckline which was covered with mesh. The rest of the dress was done in a sequined checkerboard pattern.
Unfortunately, this dress made Rachel look square. The hemline should have definitely been above the knee and nipped in a little more at her waist. Rachel has a nice shape, but this is not showing it off at all. The look is finished off with a pair of black, platform sandals and black and white sequined clutch.
I like her hair, but it should have been worn up.
C. I hate to give her this low grade, but the garment needed a little tailoring.
Salma Hayek couldn't be missed as she stepped to the red carpet for the premiere of Savages.
Salma looked gorgeous in this particular shade of green. The actress wore a Gucci gown that was fully sequined. I think that on anyone else, it would have looked like a pageant dress. But, I think that Salma looked gorgeous. Mostly, because the bodice is well-fitted. Those of us with a larger chest know how hard it is to fit this type of bodice. This fit was perfect and really showed off her curves.
Premiere Of Universal Pictures' "Savages" - Red Carpet
I loved her simple ponytail and barely there make-up. Her only accessory were a pair of emerald and diamond drop earrings.
A. Lovely look.
Most of the time, I'm not really impressed by Blake Lively. I'm probably the only person that's not impressed with her acting, boring vanilla personality, and same expression modeling. However, even I must admit that she looked amazing for the premiere of her movie, Savages.
There always something off about Blake's looks. But not on this occasion. She. Looked. Stunning. Blake in this beautiful Zuhair Murad gown looked like a real life Jessica Rabbit. And, that's a good thing.
The nude dress was covered in strategically place, sequined strips. It gave her the illusion of a coke bottle figure and fit to perfection. It also had a snall train. Glamour at its best.
I love her hair with its big, luscious curls and bold red lipstick.
A+. Stunning from head-to-toe.
Blake is known for not having a stylist which may explain why most of her looks are sometimes off. At this event, however, I think that a stylist was used.
There were many titles that I had in mind for this post, but I had to remember that I want this blog to be somewhat family friendly. Therefore, I kept it clean.
Emma Stone is back in the US to promote her movie, The Amazing Spiderman.
Emma wore a pretty blue dress for the event. The Carven dress featured an on-trend Peter Pan collar, matching covered buttons up the front, and draping at the waist. The look was completed with a pair of nude Christian Louboutin pumps.
Because of the event and the dress, I like this hair with it.
A+. Emma continues to look gorgeous during her promo tour.
I admit that I knew nothing about Cody Horn before the premiere of Magic Mike. But her look was definitely my favorite of the premiere.
Even though I'm not a fan of all black looks, I really liked this Jean Paul Gaultier Couture head-to-toe look. Cody wore a black bustier top with black lace shorts. The look was topped with a black blazer. It was the perfect mix of sexy and sophisticated.
I loved her black capped, PVC Christian Louboutins.
Normally, I'm not that big on the wet look when it comes to hair, but I think that it works on this occasion. And her make-up job was gorgeous.
A+. Stunning look.
Here were the rest of the eye catching looks at the premiere of Magic Mike.
I was pleasantly surprised to see Camryn Grimes at the premiere of Magic Mike. She has a small appearance in the movie. If you're a watcher of The Young and the Restless, you may recognize her as Sharon Newman's daughter, Cassie.
I really liked this printed Karen Millen dress. The form fitting garment had a pretty butterfly wing print on it with a small keyhole on the bodice. Her lookw as finished off with a pair of peep-toe pumps.
I really liked her natural make-up and softly waved hair.
A. Pretty look.
Jenna Dewan-Tatum also stepped to the red carpet on the arm of her husband, Channing Tatum. Channing stars in the movie along side Matthew McConaughey.
Jenna wore a little, black mini dress. I liked the sequined black number from Gucci, but I don't like it on Jenna. I think that the garment is doing nothing for her body and makes her look a little like she has football pads.
Loved her knuckle duster ring and the black strappy sandals.
Jenna's face is gorgeous as always, and I loved her sleek hairstyle.
C. This dress is ill-fitting and does nothing for her body.
