Over the weekend, Eva Mendes attended the launch for Estee Lauder's New Dimension Skin Care. The event was held at Nordstrom Aventura in Florida.
Eva looked very summery in her Halston Heritage dress. As with most garments from the design house, it had a carefree, easy feel to it that is not normally something that I gravitate towards. However, I am loving it on Eva. This coral hue looks amazing on her.
The look was finished off with nude sandals.
This styling, hair and make-up, are flawless.
A+. Best Eva's looked in quite some time.
Eva Mendes was in Austin to attend SXSW. She participated in a Q&A for Lost River.
Eva wore one of my favorite designers, Michael Kors for the event. The look consisted of a long-sleeved, black and blue top that was paired with a gorgeous floral, black and white skirt. I liked the mix of the two prints that shouldn't work but do. The look was completed with a black pumps.
Eva wore her hair in one of those wraps. It wasn't my favorite, but Eva always manages to pull it off.
A-. Love the look.
Eva Mendes was still out and about promoting her new collection for New York & Co.
This Eva Mendes for New York & Co. dress was another winner. I really liked the floral watercolor print. I also liked that the dress looked vintage without looking dated. Eva continued this retro theme with matching accessories. Her mint green Jimmy Choo pumps and M2Malletier clutch all hearkened back to the days when a woman would match her shoes with her bag.
Eva took the look home with her updo.
A. Can't wait to check out Eva's new collection.
Eva Mendes was in LA for the launch of Eva Mendes for New York & Co. Spring 2014 collection.
She wore a dress from the collection which I really liked. The sleeveless silhouette and the slightly flared hemline would work on a multitude of body types. Even though it's a dark color for spring, I liked the white embroidery. I haven't been to New York & Co. in years so I may check out what Eva has to offer.
Eva finished off her look with Bionda Castana pumps and a Smythson envelope clutch.
The hair was interesting, but it needed to be smoothed out a little more. The flyaways take away from an otherwise polished look.
A-. Points off for the hair, but Eva still looks amazing.
Eva Mendes was in New York to speak at Lucky Magazine's Lucky FABB Conference. The conference is for fashion and beauty bloggers.
Eva looked really pretty in a skirt and top from her collaboration with New York & Co. The ensemble included a black trumpet skirt topped with a checked blouse. The look was paired with Rupert Sanderson pumps.
I like that this wan't Eva's usual va-va-va-voom look. So many times she has tried and failed.
The updo was very chic and pretty. It went well with the head-to-toe look.
A. Eva finally does demure right.
Eva Mendes looked gorgeous at the Icons of Style Awards.
For the event, Eva wore a vintage dress from Luis Estevez. I liked that even though the gown is vintage, it still looks modern. I am not a fringe person, but I liked that it went from her bust to the hem of the garment.
Eva's accessories included Jean-Michel Cazabat pumps and a red Reece Hudson clutch.
I adored Eva's voluminous hair. It gave her look a va-va-voom vibe.
A+. Perfect from head-to-toe.
Eva Mendes stepped to the red carpet for the premiere of her new movie, The Place Beyond the Pines.
I actually really liked this dress on Eva. It appears that Eva is trying to shed her sex pot image by wearing less revealing, body conscious dresses. This one fits the bill. I liked the color, and that's about it. The neckline makes her chest look weird especially since it's sitting right on top of the butterfly waistband. The neckline should be lower, and the belt not as wide. While the butterflies are cute, let's just leave that to Mariah Carey.
Eva's satin shoes were also Prada.
Eva's hair and make-up were sexy which didn't go with the sweet vibe that she was going for.
C. Stop fighting it, Eva. Own that you're sexy because the route that you're going is not working.
Eva Mendes and Vogue Eyewear held a soiree for the launch of their Spring/Syummer Communications Campaign. Eva is the face of the brand.
I really like this Valentino dress. I love the yellow lace with the pink and white lace woven in it as well. Love her clutch. However, there are a few issues.
Number one, this dress reads too young for Eva. Wearing clothing that is not age appropriate actually ages you. Dressing young doesn't exactly make you look young. Number two, those velvet shoes are way too heavy for a dress that reads Spring.
Loved her loosely curled hair.
D. I adore the dress and the clutch. But, the dress reads too young and the shoes are too heavy. Let's leave this to the Bella Thornes of the world.
Eva Mendes also attended the AFI Fest for a special screening of her movie, Holy Motors.
The actress managed to look both sexy and sophisticated in a little black dress. The Dolce & Gabbana dress was made of lace with short sleeves and a pretty neckline. The neckline managed to cover up her girls without losing her sex appeal.
The Dolce dress was paired with a pair of classic black pumps and a black and gold Sergio Rossi clutch. Her emerald bracelet gave the look a little color. My one complaint about the look is that she could have worn a more adventurous pair of shoes. The dress was really simple so the shoes wouldn't have been a distraction.
I love the voluminous curls that added to the sexy, sophisticated vibe to her LBD.
A. Eva looks stunning as always.
Eva Mendes stepped to the red carpet for the premiere of her movie, A Place Beyond the Pines. She co-stars with Bradley Cooper.
Eva wore a really pretty Dolce & Gabbana cocktail dress. The dress was a black sheath with a black and white lace overlay. The lace also had tiny black beading on it. The look was completed with a black clutch and black Casadei pumps.
I wasn't thrilled with her hair. The turban doesn't really fit with the aesthetic of the dress. And her updo looks a little messy.
B. The turban ruined the look for me.
