My favorite Cannes actress blew me away.

I have no words except that this is an embroidered Christopher Bu gown. The clutch is Elie Saab. Her hair is done in a traditional noble woman's style.

Let's just enjoy the pictures, shall we?

A+.

Tilda Swinton went for another feminine look for the opening ceremony and premiere of her movie Moonrise Kingdom.

Tilda wore another look from Haider Ackerman. I think that the color was an interesting choice as its not one that we see much at red carpet events. The bodice of the gown was almost like a shawl style or a little capelet. It was just gorgeous on her and a little more feminine that what we're used to seeing from her. I think that she still retains her androgynous look.

Let's face it. We're not going to see Tilda in a big ball gown. But, I like the direction that she had for the first day of the film festival.

As always, Tilda went sans jewelry. I really like her bouffant hair.

A. Love this feminine vibe on Tilda.

Berenice Bejo was the host of the opening ceremony and a jury member. So, you know that she was going to wear a stunning gown.

I love the red Louis Vuitton confection. This was very feminine with three layers of ruffles and pleating on the bodice of the off-the-shoulder gown. The dress also had a matching waistband with a large bow on the back.

I really like her side swept, softly waved hair. I like the red jewelry and diamond, cage cuff.

A+. The color is beautiful. It looks beautiful on her. Styled perfectly.

The Cannes Film Festival wouldn't be the Cannes Film Festival without a couple of models.

Eva's custom Dolce & Gabbana gown was beautiful. The dress was just pretty or fashion forward. Sometimes, you just want to see a beautiful gown. The full-on crystal dress had three-quarter sleeves and a small sweep train. I loved her gold clutch, but I didn't think that she needed that necklace. The dress itself had enough bling. Besides, it distracts from the beauty of the gown.

I wasn't a fan of the hair as it looks either greasy or too much gel was used.

A-. The necklace was not needed.

If you follow me on Twitter, you may have seen my tweet on Freida's gown. I called it...interesting.

I say interesting because I don't even know if I like the Michael Angel creation. But, I do like it for Cannes. Freida's dress had a crystal bodice with a thin, silver waistband. The skirt was pink with a thigh high slit and a draped peplum. The box clutch and silver, platform sandals are both Louis Vuitton. I'm not a fan of platform sandals, but I like the silver with the gown.

Opening Ceremony and "Moonrise Kingdom" Premiere - 65th Annual Cannes Film Festival

Emerald earrings, smoky eyes, and a chic updo completed the look.

A. I've been looking at this dress since lunchtime and still can't decide if I like it. I'm on the fence.

I was surprised to see Lana del Ray at Cannes.

Lana went the safe route with a black Alberta Ferretti gown. Her gown was pretty simple but had little details to make it special. The bodice is peaked in the front with tulle tiers on the side. She also carried a black box clutch.

I was in love with her big bouncy curls. Lana's look was completed with a statement. The necklace wasn't needed because of the detail on the bodice.

B. It's her first time at Cannes so maybe she didn't know that more is expected. But, Lana did look gorgeous.

This 74 year old woman makes me feel fat and lazy.

Would you look at that amazing body in an Atelier Versace gown. This gown was pink and full on sparkle and shine with an illusion neckline and sleeves. I loved the way that the gown criss-crossed the body. She finished off the look with a Versace clutch.

She wore her usual wild hair and smoky eyes.

A+. Forget about looking like that when I'm her age. I want to look like this now.

Jessica Chastain-65th Annual Cannes Film Festival Opening Ceremony/Moonrise Kingdom Premiere-Cannes, France

Jessica Chastain was also in attendance at the Cannes Film Festival opening ceremony.

Out of all of the Alexander McQueen gowns that she could have chosen, I wonder why this one. This is Cannes! A gown this minimal is not really going to cut it in a sea of spectacular looks. Jessica's pale pink gown had a low-cut neckline. There's really nothing else to say about this look except that it had pockets.

I actually think that her hair is really pretty as are her drop earrings.

B+. I was disappointed.

Eva Longoria-65th Annual Cannes Film Festival Opening Ceremony/Moonrise Kingdom Premiere-Cannes, France

I don't know how or why Eva Longoria keeps getting invited to Cannes, but I love it. Eva always looks her best for the film festival.

Eva looked breathtaking in a Marchesa gown. The blush colored gown was fully embellished and embroidered with a long train of layer upon layers of tulle. The back was just as stunning as the front. She also carried a Marchesa clutch.

She wore an updo worthy of the dress and barely-there make-up.

A+. Was there any doubt that she would get a perfect grade?

Cannes is upon us, and that means gowns. Lots and lots of gowns. I am a gown addict, and Cannes is an addict's fix.

First up is juror Diane Kruger.

Diane wore a beautiful Giambattista Valli custom (ie. couture) gown. The gown was mint green and had a draped bodice. The drape on the shoulder went all the way to the floor.

Her hair and make-up ticked all of the boxes-hair in a chic updo and minimal make-up. Simple jewelry finished off her look.

A+. THIS is how you start Cannes.
