Ellie Goulding almost got it right for the Glamour awards.

I am loving this Cavalli dress. I liked the red, black, and white print. I loved the sheer embellished sleeves and skirt. This, at least for me, is prettier than the Givenchy version of this type of garment because the sheer skirt starts lower.

I say that Ellie almost got it right because her hair did not live up to this gorgeous dress. It looks like zero effort was put into doing anything to it.
B+. Love the dress, but I don't even think that Ellie passed by a comb.
Wow. Olivia Palermo seems to be warming up to Cavalli.

I kind of understand why Olivia covered up as this is her style. But, in all honesty, this chick actually made what is probably a sexy Cavalli gown look mumsy. That gown needed nothing but a woman that could sell it. If you are going to wear Cavalli, WEAR it.
On Olivia, I'm not buying it. This gown was covered in gold sequins so she didn't need that mother-of-the-bride jacket. The feather bag wasn't needed either.

Love her hair and make-up.
D. Olivia ruined the look with the feathered clutch and matronly jacket. What a waste of a gown.

Roberto Cavalli is hitting his stride at this year's Cannes Film Festival.

Zhang Yuqi looked amazing. This pale grey gown was really pretty. Of course the halter-style gown had Cavalli's signature low-cut neckline. I love the lace which softened it up. I like when Cavalli does feminine. The box clutch and diamond cuff were just the right accessories.

I loved her hair.
A+. This is definitely a nod to Old Hollywood glamour.
Who thought that Olivia Palermo could do sexy?

Well, neither did I. Olivia looked downright sexy in a Roberto Cavalli confection. It ticked all of the Cavalli garments-cut outs, an up-to-there slit, metallic trim-on top of it being animal print. I loved it, and I love that Olivia stepped out of the box.
Because who knows when we'll see Olivia dress like this again. Sergio Rossi sandals and a box clutch completed the look.

I loved her hair as it went perfectly with the gown. One of her elegant updos would have never worked with this.
A. Olivia looked gorgeous.
Sharon Stone looked amazing yet again for her apperance at the amfAR gala.

Sharon wore a white Cavalli gown for the occasion. I loved this gown as it was different than the usual as there wasn't a plunging neckline or piece of glitter to be seen. However, there was still a sexy low cut back with a beautiful serpent cascading down the back.

Her earrings were just the right amount of light to her face. The hair and make-up were flawless.
A+. Sharon has never looked better.
I have been hoping that Liu Wen would grace us with her presence at Cannes.

This blue looks beautiful on Liu. She also wore a bodysuit under a lace overlay. But, unlike Barbara, Liu managed to look modern and not dated. Amazing what the right hair and make-up can do for you.

The earrings brought just the right amount of sparkle and light to her face. Straight, center parted hair completed the look.
B+. Pretty and elegant but not a wow.
Irina Shayk oozed sex appeal for the premiere of All Is Lost.

Irina wore a typical Roberto Cavalli gown, and it showed a whole lot of skin. It had all of the Cavalli signature elements-plunging neckline, sheer fabric, embellishments, and cut-outs. There's not really much else to say about the gown except that she paired it with strappy sandals.

I would say that Irina needed to put her hair up, but that would have looked too bare.
D. I would have been on board had the cut-outs been solid fabric.
Alessandra Ambrosio lit up the red carpet for the Cannes premiere of All Is Lost.

Alessandra was dripping in silver. This was a very simple gown from Cavalli which shows the other side of the design house. Cavalli is known for it's uber sexy gowns, and this one wasn't one of those. Just a straight forward, long-sleeved column gown. It was beautiful.

I really liked her hair and make-up. It gave her gown even more sizzle.
A. Beautiful.
